Venture To See, LLC

We Travel With Intention
And We Want to Help You Do the Same

Nearly 30 years of global exploration have shaped how we see the world. Not through bus windows or buffet lines — but through early mornings in unfamiliar cities, conversations with guides who actually know why a place matters, and a stubborn refusal to mistake sightseeing for travel.

A Husband-and-Wife Team. One Shared Obsession.

We are based in the Charleston, South Carolina area, and between the two of us we have explored destinations across Europe, the Americas, and some of the most remote wilderness corridors on the planet. We are not travel writers who photograph things from a safe distance. We go. We pack the gear, book the Zodiacs, navigate the port logistics, and figure out what actually works — so you don't have to piece it together from a dozen contradictory blog posts.

Venture To See is intentionally small. We are a one-person operation with a second set of eyes and instincts always in the conversation. That means every guide, recommendation, and resource on this site has been thought through by people who have personally stood in the places we describe — or spent significant time preparing to.

Four Things We Kept Wishing Existed

We built Venture To See around the resources we kept wishing we had when planning our own trips.

01

Honest, Practical Port Intelligence

Embarkation and debarkation days are the most chaotic, highest-stakes days of any cruise — and most resources treat them as an afterthought. Our port guides cover what you actually need: where to go, how long things take, what the terminal experience is really like, and how to make the most of time ashore.

02

Pre & Post Cruise Experiences Worth Your Time

We are affiliated with Viator and Get Your Guide — not because they cut the best check, but because they give us the tools to connect you with vetted, bookable experiences that match the way we travel. Every tour recommendation is grounded in the kind of experience we would seek out ourselves.

03

A Real Resource for Expedition Cruising

This is the part of Venture To See that matters most to us personally. The difference between a standard cruise and a genuine expedition is profound — and most people don't know it exists until someone tells them clearly. We are trying to be that someone.

04

Travel Stories That Are Actually Useful

Not highlights reels. Not sponsored takes. Honest accounts of where we went, what worked, what surprised us, and what we would do differently. If we made a mistake so you don't have to, we'll tell you that too.

Expedition Cruising Is the Core of What We Are Building Toward

We are affiliate partners with HX Expeditions, Silversea Cruises, and Celebrity Cruises — three lines we recommend because we believe in what they deliver, not simply because of a commercial relationship.

We have done the research across all major expedition regions: Antarctica, the Arctic and Svalbard, Greenland, the Norwegian Fjords, Iceland, the Galápagos, Alaska, Patagonia, the Northwest Passage, the Kimberley Coast, and the British Isles. Our destination guides go deep — weather windows, wildlife calendars, packing specifics by region, operator comparisons, and the things no brochure tells you.

We Are Not a Call Center

When you reach out to Venture To See, you are talking to the people who built this site and take these trips. We are small enough to give your journey real attention and experienced enough to help you make good decisions.

We earn commissions through our affiliate partnerships when you book through our links — that is how we keep this resource free and growing. We are transparent about that. What we are not willing to do is recommend something we would not book ourselves.

If you want to talk through an expedition cruise, a pre or post cruise itinerary, or just want to know whether a particular line is right for you, reach out and start that conversation.
